I was honored to be asked to photograph the 20th annual Chocolate for Choice event at Safeco Field this last week. There were SO many amazing delectables to select from and all for a great cause. Senator Patty Murray spoke and the live auction stirred up some great fundraising with the winning entries chosen by the panel of judges. All of the bakers, chocolatiers and caterers had some amazing designs and flavors…here is just a small list of the folks that represented…

gg’s trip to san diego
many of you know that my grandma Frieda past away this last week – she lived to be 90 1/2 and has so many people that love her. i’m so grateful that my g’ma knew my daughter lily – she loved her energy and her laugh. one of the things my g’ma loved most was spending time with friends and laughing so that’s exactly what i did while i was down in san diego this week…
i see events ~ a ‘Blessing Way’ celebration ~ Bliss & Ali
Bliss & Ali’s “Blessing Way”. It was sincere, emotional, funny and I was honored to be asked to photograph it.
i see choice ~ Kathy Najimy at NARAL’s Power of Choice Luncheon
Lauren, the Executive Director of Washington’s chapter of NARAL asked me months ago if I would photograph their annual Power of Choice Luncheon at the Seattle Sheraton. How excited was I though when a couple weeks before the event, she let me know the Kathy Najimy would be the keynote speaker!?! I am a huge and longtime fan of Ms. Najimy and shamelessly gushed at her upon meeting her (I’m such a goon). She was so gracious though and let me tell her my ‘how you affected my youth’ story…
i see a sweet surprise! ISPWP contest
As I was checking out the prize winning images that ISPWP posted the other day, I was stoked to see that a few of my past images got a nod! Sweet!
i see kiddos ~ Seattle Family Photography ~ Harper & Lily get egged
So I know I’ve already done a personal blog post this week that involves my kid, but this one will involve the super cuteness that is The Baby Harper and my kid with her new summer haircut AND there are Easter eggs involved! Sarah had us over for egg fun and photos Friday – can I just say how proud I am of how my kid is with babies?! She loves Harper big time and I adore the Funstons!!
i see springtime in her eyes…
i see the ‘before’ & ‘after’…
During my super fun engagement session today with Cyndi & Nick, we started talking about cameras, photography techniques and post-processing, etc… On the way home, I started thinking about post-processing styles and how I love to see ‘before & after’ photos. I loved the way Cyndi’s eyes smoldered here, but thought I’d add a little ‘pop’ to them and then just smooth out her skin a tad. I then added some overall warmth to the photo (you’d never know just how flippin’ cold they were!) Just thought I’d share a little about how I approach photos after the session and to give this super sweet couple a sneak peek from today!
i see some Seattle Magazine love!
How excited was I to pick up this month’s issue of Seattle Magazine and see my boudoir sessions mentioned in their article “13 ways to lift your love life”?! Very excited!!! I love that I get to say “as seen in…” now (insert my blush and the flutter of the eyelashes here).
I also love some of the other awesome folks mentioned in the article…
Babeland – love love love! They even have cooking classes with aphrodisiacs and stuff…
Hotel 1000 – totally intrigued by the ‘Chocolate Cake for Two’ massage package
Century Ballroom – could totally use some dance lessons after all of the sweets I’ve been indulging in
Sorrento Hotel – I love the old romance feel of this place and been fortunate enough to photograph events there
Babeland ~ Capitol Hill, Seattle ~ Moregasm Launch Party
Wednesday night, I had the pleasure of photographing the book signing/lauch party for the new book Moregasm, the latest book by Claire Cavanah and Rachel Venning, Babeland’s
co-founders. DJ Status (my new fave DJ!) played some great music, Trophy Cupcakes had some super yumminess there and Bear Flag Wine was pouring some tasty wine. There will be a ton of photos (including many with a larger than life vulva) posted on Babeland’s Facebook page in the next day or so – here are just a couple of shots…
I got my copy of Moregasm – stop by the store to check it out and to take a peek at some of my boudoir images that are adorning the Babeland walls this month!
