seattle weddings, bump, babies, family, et al….2011 comes to an end…

it’s december 31st and i’ve been thinking about putting together a year end blog post for a few weeks now…this year was so full of fun and i am so grateful for the poignant moments that people have let me photograph. i can’t express my gratitude for such an amazing year, so i’ll just show you a few (cough, em, well 85…) images that stood out to me…hope you enjoy…if you can hang in there until the end there is a photo of my kid (she’s totally worth it.)

i’m so excited to see what 2012 has in store!

seattle weddings ~ offwhite makeup & beauty ~ megan & her men

i was so excited when megan bingham of offwhite makeup and beauty asked me to come take photos of her new diggs over by greenlake. her new space is SO cute and the little touches (check out that mason jar chandelier!) are rock star. over the last four years of shooting weddings, megan and i have shared some really awesome brides. i’m so honored to have megan showcasing some of those beauties on her new walls.

megan has the 2nd most awesome (wink wink) four year old kiddo in the world. Her son lenox and her main squeeze austin came to have some fun with us later over at greenlake…

i see the bliss…and the “beloved”

i’ve always loved looking at photographs that stir my heart and at the risk of sounding cheesy, i approach every session i shoot with the goal of tapping into those feelings in my subjects so that i can catch those moments with my camera.

i’m taking blog inspiration today from the super cool bobbi & mike to talk about my own ‘beloved’ experience. last may, i took jesh de rox’s workshop and felt so inspired to further look for those ‘raw’ emotion moments in life…specifically when i’m holding my camera…

stuff i’m diggin’ this week…two

i’ll totally admit to loving all things monogrammed/engraved…especially loving lisa leonard’s stuff…

the thxthxthx website has me cracking up and reminding me to get better with writing thank you notes…

i enjoyed not one, but two of a favorite icy indulgence this week…

and the most awesome and top five favorite human being, jen wade turned 30 this week. kelli, of kelli’s cake creations made a beautiful, incredibly YUMMY and surprise cake for jen. the leftovers are being enjoyed on almost an hourly basis…

kelli’s kiddo mimi is a huge fave of my lily – they played/chased/squeezed each other all night long…so sweet!

stuff i’m diggin’ this week…

i have been cruisin’ those interwebs a whole lot lately and thought i’d share some of the stuff i’m diggin this week!
loving these two-finger rings…so much that i ordered one!

been ordering and eating too many of these yummy pizzas…if you aren’t hip to Amazon Fresh.com you gotta check it out!

the ethereal beauty of Anthropologie’s new line BHLDN has me over the moon excited about what my brides might be wearing this year…

and just last night, i got the link to the winning images of the ISPWP winter photo contest results – so many amazing photos that are such an inspiration to me and one of my favorite photos from Inge & Trevor’s amazing day got a nod in the wedding party category!

super bowl sunday = more monkey photos!

yeah, I’m not the biggest football fan…I totally love those new Doritos commercials though! I spent my day playing with my Lily and photos of her that we took last week. Wearing lipstick was the perk she got for letting me take pictures…I love how lipstick always makes her give the ‘kissy lips’

Event Photography ~ Seattle ~ Chocolate for Choice ~ NARAL

Chocolate…good…choice…good…

I was honored to be asked to photograph the 20th annual Chocolate for Choice event at Safeco Field this last week. There were SO many amazing delectables to select from and all for a great cause. Senator Patty Murray spoke and the live auction stirred up some great fundraising with the winning entries chosen by the panel of judges. All of the bakers, chocolatiers and caterers had some amazing designs and flavors…here is just a small list of the folks that represented…
